With 2024 slipping away quickly, the Clipper takes a look back at life in Clipper Country as recorded in the pages of the Clipper these past 12 months. This week, Part I looks back during the first four months of the year, January through April.
For the first time in more than a decade, the regular meeting of the Gibbon City Council was gaveled to order by a mayor other than Deb VanMatre as newly elected mayor Leon Stall was sworn in, along with two reelected council members, prior to the council’s regular monthly meeting, held on Monday, December 16.
Gibbon High School’s Mock Trial team, along with coach Angie Clevenger, competed at State Mock Trial held in Omaha at the Hruska Federal Courthouse on Monday and Tuesday, December 9 and 10.
This Christmas season, the Shelton Goodfellows continue to prepare to help those who are struggling during this time of year.
The Wood River FFA Chapter showcased exceptional talent and dedication at the District Leadership Development Events (LDEs) held recently at Sumner-Eddyville-Miller School. Competing against strong contenders from across the district, Wood River FFA members brought home a variety of awards and recognitions.
