The community of Wood River was shaken by an explosion at a residence destroyed that residence and caused damage to many surrounding homes and structures on Saturday, March 2.

Very chilly, windy late March weather did little to dampen the enthusiasm of those youngsters who descended on Gibbon’s Davis Park on Saturday, March 30, for the annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Gibbon American Legion Bradley Buck Post #310.

The Shelton High School Quiz Bowl team finished the Kenesaw Quiz Bowl meet in first place on Thursday, January 25.

The Lady Centurion track team chalked up 102 points, second only to first place St. Paul’s 142 points, at the Gibbon Invitational on April 18.
