Shelton Elementary students recognized for practicing friendship

Shelton Elementary recently announced the winners in the monthly “Shelton Kid Caught With Character” program. At the beginning of each month, elementary students learn about a character trait and have the rest of the month to practice it. At the end of each month, one student from each grade (kindergarten through sixth grade) is chosen as the “Shelton Kid Caught With Character” winner. Students will be able to take a yard sign home for the month, displaying their hard work and character. During February, the character trait students practiced was friendship. February winners included, front row, left to right, second grader Hailey Warner, first grader Skylar Libra, and kindergarteners Briar Kropp and Aldo Orellana Bernal; and back row, sixth grader Ian King, fifth grader Ayden Jurado, fourth grader Ella King, and third grader Breckett Warren.
