Aurora Cooperative recently announced a generous donation of $33,500 to support local senior citizen centers in its footprint, including the Wood River Senior Center. Brie Meyer, agent at the RAI of Nebraska, located at 112 “C” Street, in Shelton, has worked for the Ravenna-based firm during summers and winter breaks for the past six years and now serves at the Shelton office.
Shelton’s Board of Education met for its regular monthly meeting on Monday, August 12, where board members moved to approve a budget amendment to the nutrition fund for the new school year, mulled over replacing the school’s boilers, and discussed increasing pay for substitute teachers.
