Gibbon High School student Ivy Noller proudly represented Nebraska at the 2026 Certiport Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) U.S. National Championship held June 14–17 in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Centura Legion Post 333 Junior baseball team participated in the Twin River Tournament held at David City on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, and walked away with the championship plaque.
Erin Gegg was recently selected to receive a $2,500 STAR Scholarship from the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was recommended by P.E.O. Chapter BI, of Shelton.

Matthew Gerard McGuire, age 58, of Ashton and formerly of Wood River, died on Wednesday, June 24, at CHI Immanuel Hospital in Omaha from a blood infection complication.
Richard Lee Grell, age 87, of Shelton, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, June 22, at St.
Anna M. DeLaet, age 93, of Kearney, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, at Kearney Regional Medical Center in Kearney. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m.
Laurie Ann (Codner) Schneider, age 70, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026.
