Lifelong Wood River residents Ron and Esther Rickert have been selected as grand marshals for the 2026 Wood River FunFest Parade on Saturday, August 1.

The public is invited to attend the grand opening for Wood River’s Legacy Station from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. this Saturday, July 25.
Harley Swanek was recently named Little Miss Wood River and Elijah Murphy was selected as Little Mr. Wood River for the 2026 Wood River FunFest Parade. Harley is the daughter of Mercedes and Jeremy Swanek. Harley used assistive technology to create her entry. She said she loves to do the cheer/dance camp with her friends and perform at the parade and of course getting candy during the parade. After the parade she loves to get lunch or a snack from one of the many food trucks, then go get her face painted. She also enjoyed the bounce house obstacle. Harley also loves the movie night and eating popcorn. Elijah is the son of Jerad and Anna Murphy. His entry is shown below. Harley and Elijah will ride in the FunFest parade on Saturday, August 2.
