It’s school time again in Clipper Country

A new school year looms over Clipper Country schools in Gibbon, Shelton and Wood River and activities are ramping up as the calendar quickly moves toward the respective 2026-27 school year.

The Fun Run, including skaters, bikers, scooters, walkers, as well as runners, gets started near the swimming pool on Friday night.

Treasures and hard to find items were on display during the business scavenger hunt on Friday evening.

Parade Grand Marshals Ron and Esther Rickert helped lead the parade with big smiles and waves.

Members of the Wood River High School Class of 1986 took to the streets for the parade.

The Wood River High School Class of 1981 members included a parade float into their weekend of reunion events.

Wood River American Legion leads off another FunFest parade!

School athletic posters and Shelton calendar delivery delayed

Due to the statewide learning curve for schools adjusting to the new “Bound” scheduling program, the Shelton, Gibbon and Wood River athletic posters, and the Shelton school calendar, production and delivery has been delayed. Bear with us, and the schools, as they navigate through this new process that all schools in the state have been encouraged to use. The Clipper will produce the posters and calendars as soon as the final approval of schedules is determined.
