Women Who Care – Hall County grant awarded to Stick Creek Kids

Nearly 200 women came together for the second quarterly meeting of Women Who Care – Hall County, where members learned about local organizations serving children and families before collectively selecting Stick Creek Kids in Wood River as the recipient of a preliminary $17,500 grant — surpassing the $15,300 grant awarded at the group’s inaugural meeting in May.

Shelton’s Heroes Street Dance held

The Second Annual Shelton’s Heroes Street Dance, sponsored by the Shelton Volunteer Fire Department, Shelton American Legion Post 297, Vietnam Vets MC, and Legacy Vets MC was a great success on Saturday, August 15. The day featured a great deal of entertainment such as a bouncy house and dunk tank which drew a great number of participants, meals served were sold out and later in the day, music was provided for the dance by the Kyle Sayler Band.
