Official parade of Buffalo County set for Gibbon

Long-time Wood River educator and coach Darin Waddington was inducted into the NSWCA Hall of Fame last Friday, June 12, in Grand Island. Waddington’s 2011 wrestling team won the Class C state title. He coached three state champions, 38 state medalists, and 116 state qualifiers over his 26 year tenure at Wood River. The City of Wood River hosted its annual city-wide garage sales on Friday and Saturday, June 12 and 13. Despite a breezy Friday and rainy Saturday morning, approximately 32 sales offered shoppers a myriad of items from clothing to furniture, tools to collectibles and more.
