The Ord Invitational on Thursday, January 16, and Shelton Invitational on Saturday, January 18, dotted the schedule for the Shelton Lady Bulldog wrestlers last week.
Sutton and Broken Bow both gave the Wood River Lady Eagle basketball team fits on the court last week as the Lady Mustangs visited Wood River on Tuesday, January 14, and returned home with a 55-36 win over the Wood River ladies.
Offensive struggles continued for the Gibbon girls basketball team last week as they were unable to keep up with the visiting Blue Hill Lady Bobcats on Tuesday, January 14, or Doniphan/Trumbull on the road on Friday, January 17.
The schedule last week for the Wood River boys basketball team proved troublesome as the Eagles were bested by the visiting Sutton Mustangs, 54-64, on Tuesday, January 14, and by Broken Bow on the road, 52-67, on Friday, January 17.
Shelton’s Lady Bulldogs finished last week with a pair of decisive home court wins, a 5221 win over Arcadia/Loup City on Tuesday, January 14, and a big 62-26 thrashing of Ansley/ Litchfield on Friday, January 17.
