Shelton runners excel in intense conditions at Franklin

In what was an absolutely brutally hot day the Shelton Bulldog cross country teams competed at the Franklin Invite and competed extremely well. Triple digits would hit the temperature gauge in all three of the races last Tuesday, September 20, and according to Coach Matthew Walter, the manta of the day was, “Just go out and race, do not worry about time … race,” and his runners not only responded to that, they all went out and ran great. Walter stated, “Unlike earlier this year in the heat, the kids persevered and raced.”
