Shelton qualifies two cross country runners for the state meet

The Bulldogs have had a season of different kinds of weather days to run in and last week was no different. Shelton traveled to Cambridge last week for the D-5 District cross country meet where they would not only run into some tough competition, but would also have to compete against the weather being cold and extremely windy for the first time this season. But as they have done all season, the Shelton runners were up for the task as they qualified two runners for the state meet.

Lane Demilt and Alia Gomez were crowned Shelton High School’s 2022 Homecoming King and Queen at a ceremony held after the homecoming football game on Thursday, October 6. Homecoming royalty included Quinn Cheney, Keaton Chavez, Sidney Gegg, and MaKenna Willis. The week of homecoming activities included dress up days throughout the week, and a parade and pep rally on Wednesday afternoon. See more homecoming photos on page 8 of this issue! Kucera, Hernandez reign as Gibbon High Homecoming Queen and King

Gibbon High’s Emma Kucera and Jesus Hernandez were crowned as 2022 Gibbon High Homecoming Queen and King after the homecoming football game on Friday, October 7. Attendants were Hadleigh Davis, Kristen Holcomb, Roman Kolbet, and Brady Samuelson. The crowning of queen and king came after a week of homecoming activities including dress up days, tailgating games PowerBuff volleyball, PowderPuff football, class Tug of War and an all-school pep rally. Members of Gibbon FBLA attend fall leadership conference

The Gibbon FBLA Chapter had six FBLA officers and three at-large members attend the FBLA Fall Leadership Conference at the Kearney Holiday Inn recently. According to Gibbon FBLA Reporter Hadleigh Davis, “The participants enjoyed the keynote speaker, Adrienne Bulinski, teaching them about dreams, perseverance, and determination.
