Two Clipper Country teams went up against each other on Tuesday, October 3, during Shelton’s triangular, ending with the fall of the Shelton Bulldogs to the sturdy Wood River Eagles volleyball team.
The Centura cross country teams welcomed LouPlatte Conference foes to the Centura Hills Golf Course in Cairo on Thursday, October 5.
The Wilcox/Hildreth Falcons used scoring in the second half of their home contest with the Shelton Bulldogs to hold off the Bulldogs, 36-31, on Friday, October 6. Shelton head coach Ryan Province and Falcon coach Luke Glenn, a Shelton graduate, have become good friends through their coaching and teaching experiences, which added a fun angle to the game. The players and coaches competed throughout the game, which saw momentum swings from start to finish.
Wood River Rural High Marching Band season is underway
The Lady Buffaloes journeyed to Kenesaw for a meeting on the volleyball court on Tuesday, September 26, for the only action of the week for the Gibbon ladies. Kenesaw sent the Lady buffaloes home with a three-set loss, 25-5, 25-11 and 25-7.
