After holding Fremont Bergan Catholic to seven points in the first quarter, Wood River’s Eagle football team was unable to hold back big second and third quarters for the Knights and suffered a 0-61 shut out in the Class C2 playoffs on Friday, October 31, in Fremont.
Each year, the National FFA Organization honors FFA members who show the utmost dedication to the organization through their desire to develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. The American FFA Degree is bestowed upon a select group of students in recognition of their years of academic and professional excellence. This year over 5,200 American Degrees were awarded. Callee Carman, a member of the Shelton FFA Chapter, was awarded the American FFA Degree at the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Carman is a 2024 Shelton High School graduate and the daughter of Jesse and Abby Carman.
The Wood River Lady Eagles made the trip to Hastings St. Cecilia on Monday, October 27, to participate in the C2-8 Subdistrict Volleyball Tournament.
Despite the 6-30 setback to Doniphan/Trumbull on Friday, October 24, the 7-2 Wood River football team will have the opportunity to play in the Class C2 playoffs.
