A windy afternoon at the Adams Central Invitational greeted the Gibbon High boys and girls track and field teams on Thursday, April 8, where the girls finished in fifth place and the boys in sixth.
The Shelton FFA Chapter had an outstanding year at the 93rd Annual Nebraska State FFA Convention, held Wednesday, April 7 through Friday, April 9. Despite this year’s convention taking place on a virtual platform, the chapter still managed to earn awards and recognition in career development events, leadership development events, and award categories.
The Shelton High School Quiz Bowl team went undefeated in this year’s Twin Valley Conference Tournament held at Silver Lake on Wednesday, March 31, and earned the Twin Valley Conference crown.
The pair of Sages (Brabec on the left with Gideon) competed neck and neck in this race, but teamed to a win in the 4 X 400 relay, running it with Macie Peters and Jenna Rauert at Central City last week. See more on the Eagles’ girls and boys meet on page 8. (—photo by Lynn McBride)
