At the LouPlatte Conference Tournament last week, the Centura Lady Centurion volleyball team got past Arcadia-Loup City and Ord to ultimately square off against top seeded St. Paul in the conference championship match.
By a score of 8-48 the Minden Whippets posted a road win over the Wood River-Shelton Silverbacks on Friday, October 15.
The state cross country meet in Kearney will feature the entire Shelton Bulldog boys cross country team and Lady Bulldog Mayte Meza after they qualified for the state meet at the D- 4 District meet held at Franklin on Thursday, October 14. Led by Ashton Simmons’ fourth place finish in the boys race, the entire boys team qualified for the state meet and Meza did her qualifying for the state meet with a ninth place finish in her race.
After warming up by sweeping the competition at the Shelton Triangular on Tuesday, October 12, the Shelton volleyball team swept through the Twin Valley Conference Tournament to earn the conference championship crown.
The Shelton High and Junior High Quiz Bowl teams have had a successful season thus far as witnessed by their recent meets.
