Centura Public Schools celebrated “A Hawaiian Homecoming” on Friday, October 8. A win over Gibbon on the gridiron with a score of 28-21 rounded out the evening. The crowning of the king and queen was held on the football field after the game. Troy Rasmussen and Allie Ruhl were crowned king and queen. Gavin Anderson and Faith McDonald were runners-up. Over 100 students in grades ninth through twelfth attended the dance. The Wood River Rural High 2021 Homecoming King Wyatt Thorp and Queen Sydney Rohrich were crowned after the football game on Friday, October 8. Kylie Neppl shot a personal record 94 to bring home a fourth place medal and Ashley Rose fired a 100 to place sixth at the Ravenna Invitational on Tuesday, September 28, to catapult the Centura girls golf team to a fourth place finish with a score of 454 at that meet.
The Centura-Central Valley Diamonds suffered a 1-18 set back to Holdrege on Tuesday, September 28, the first of a long list of games played last week by the team that culminated with competing in the C-8 Subdistricts on Monday.
