Gibbon wrestling returns experienced grapplers

“I am looking forward to another year with this group of kids,” said Gibbon head wrestling coach Cody Benge looking at his team for the upcoming season. “We return a lot of varsity mat experience. I am expecting some kids to make big improvements as they will be upperclassman this year. We have lots of potential, and I’m hoping that will show in the kids’ records and dual record and possibly qualify a couple more kids this year.”

Fundamentals will be key part of rebuilding for Gibbon girls basketball staff and players

A new coaching staff will look to reverse the fortunes of the Gibbon Lady Buffalo basketball team this season after a 2-18 campaign last season. First season head coach Klesha Miller will field a team consisting of four seniors, four juniors, two sophomores, and a pair of freshmen.

Shelton One Act play competes at Twin Valley Conference meet

At the Twin Valley Conference competition held at Harvard on Tuesday, November 16, the cast and crew of Shelton High School’s One Act Play received two Superior ratings and one Excellent, according to play director Allice Rabbe. “I was so incredibly proud of their teamwork,” Mrs. Rabbe exclaimed. Honorable Mentions for acting went to Will Roe, Samantha Snyder, Lane Demilt, Sidney Gegg, Mayte Meza, and Makayla Thornburg. After the community performance on Tuesday, the next performance will be at the D1-4 District competition at Central Valley Elementary on Tuesday, November 30.
