The visiting Gothenburg Lady Swedes lowered the boom on the Centura-Central Valley Diamonds (CCV) on Monday, September 20, in a late summer battle on the softball diamond, 20-6, and fell to St. Paul the next day, Tuesday, September 21, 6-8.
Lindsay Wilkens and Emanuel Martinez both placed in eighth place in the respective girls and boys races at the Ord Cross Country Invitational on Friday, September 24, to continue to lead the Gibbon runners as they have throughout the season.
The Shelton boys and girls cross country teams spent the final calendar day of summer at the Franklin Invitational where the Bulldog boys placed fourth and the Lady Bulldogs were fifth.
The red hot Shelton volleyball team picked up a few more wins on the court last week as they shot down Wilcox- Hildreth 25-16 and 25-18 and Axtell 25-17, 22-25 and 25-19 at a triangular hosted by the Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday, September 14, and then toppled Lawrence-Nelson on the road on Thursday, September 16, 25-17, 25-22, and 25-21.
