Varsity boys and girls basketball teams and wrestling teams are on the verge of getting their 2021-22 season underway across Clipper Country.
The winter sports season, boys and girls basketball and boys and girls wrestling, is ready to dawn on Clipper Country schools and athletes for the 2021-22 season. Jamboree games begin the season for a handful of teams, although those games do not count toward regular season records and adding to the schedule this season on some schedules is girls wrestling.
Members of the Wood River Rural High School FFA Chapter attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 27-30 and watched Abbie Philmalee (right) receive an American Degree on the 30th. The American Degree is the highest degree an FFA member can earn. Some criteria that must be met is the member should completed at least three years or 540 hours of high school agricultural classes and at least one year of college agricultural classes. They must have detailed records of their SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) along with earning and productively investing at least $7,500 or working 2,250 hours towards their SAE.
