Readers of Gibbon graduate Jesica Lamkin’s children’s book “The Cow Goes Moo and the Pig Does, Too” join ten-year-old Billy, his seven-year-old sister, Julie, and their farmyard friends (a silly pig, a gentle cow, and a clever chicken) on a strange and mysterious journey filled with laughter and friendship.
The Celebrate Wood River Performing Arts Series gets its season underway this Sunday with “Don’t Stop Me Now: A Celebration of Rock Musicals.” The performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theatre located at 13800 West Wood River Road, Wood River.
Sergeant First Class William R. Bane recently retired from military service. His official retirement was held at the Indiana National Guard Armory in Elkhorn, Indiana, on September 14, 2024.
