Members of the Gibbon High School Class of 2022 were promoted during commencement ceremonies held on Saturday, May 14. The class flower for the Class of 2022 was a white rose tipped with royal blue. The class color was black and the class song was “Good Old Days” by Macklemore.
The residents of Wood River spoke, and members of the South Central Economic Development District (SCEDD) shared their words with community members. More than 45 people were in attendance last Wednesday evening, May 4, at the Wood River Community Center to listen to Lori Ferguson and Sharon Hueftle, of SCEDD, go over the survey questions and answers from the community.
An open house retirement party for Shelton High School science teacher Kent Ropers and paraeducator Dori Ropers will be held this Saturday, May 14, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Shelton Public School Library.
Seven members of the Wood River Rural High Class of 2022 have been named as Valedictorians. Anthony Garcia, Ellie Gideon, Brenda Rodriguez, Jenna Rauert, Caden Sorgenfrei, Clayton Turek, and Lauryn Zessin have earned that distinction.
The Shelton High Class of 2022 was the focus of commencement ceremonies held on Sunday, May 8, at Shelton High School. Class colors were royal blue and black. The class song was “Some of It” by Eric Church, the class flower was a Dahlia, and the class motto was “Just Get Better” by Ryan T. Province.
