WRHS Class of ’64 holds reunion, shares memories
The Wood River High School Class of 1964, celebrating its 60th reunion year, gathered Saturday, May 25, for a catered lunch at the Bill and Joyce Gideon cabin along the Platte.

The community has stepped up for another year of funding for the annual Shelton July 4th fireworks show at the Shelton high school football field. The Give Where You Live campaign held in December has been the big donation drive that gives the fund the kick start, with other donations in June and July picking up the rest of the costs.
As the school year is in the rear view mirror, sights are set on the annual Independence Day celebration in Shelton. Organizers are encouraged to contact the Clipper at info@clipperpubco.com as soon as possible with details on events being planned for the day. The Clipper will feature the day’s activities in upcoming issues. A poster with all of the day’s events will also be printed and distributed around the area and on social media.
On Saturday, June 15, Master Magician, Adam White, will help promote Maltman Library’s summer reading program with his unique blend of family fun, comedy magic and audience participation! This show has been seen by audiences the world over and is sure to enchant all that come out to enjoy the 10:00 a.m. show at the Wood River Community Center, 108 W. 9th Street, Wood River. Admission is free.
