Shelton Lions gearing up for downtown Christmas celebration

Make your holidays a little brighter this year by joining the Shelton Area Lions Club for their Christmas Lighting Event! “Merry and Bright,” a family celebration including food, beverright ages, music, photos, hayrack rides, crafts, and shopping, will be held in downtown Shelton on Sunday, December 4, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Ceremonial illumination of new Christmas lights, the Lions’ 2022 Give Where You Live Project, will be featured at dusk. Kids won’t want to miss a chance to compose their letters to Santa

Clipper Country schools hold Veterans Day programs

Gibbon, Wood River and Shelton Public Schools honored Veterans on Friday, November 11, with programs held at their respective schools. Elementary students presented handmade cards to Veterans in attendance at the Gibbon Veterans Day program (left), forty-six Veterans and their guests attended the Veterans Day program at Wood River Rural School along with members of the community (above), and SSG Dave Mueller, a Shelton High graduate, was the guest speaker at the Shelton Veterans Day program (right).
