Fall harvest is in full swing across the region

A local combine reaches the end of a row last week as harvest is underway across the state. Recent dry, windy weather allowed producers to get into fields unimpaired to get harvest work started. USAF Heartland of America Band to present a free concert in Wood River

The United States Air Force Heartland of America Band’s brass ensemble, Offutt Brass, will present a free concert on Sunday, October 23, at 2:30 p.m., at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Center, 13800 W. Wood River Road, Wood River. Offutt Brass performs as a brass quintet with a percussionist, proudly showcasing the U.S. Air Force’s excellence, precision, versatility, and innovation in every performance. Their program features a wide variety of music and celebrates worldwide American musical influence spanning the last 75 years.
