Area community choir to present “A World Of Christmas” Dec. 15

The Wood River Area Community Choir will be presenting a cantata titled, “A World Of Christmas,” on Sunday, December 15, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 408 11th Street in Wood River. The cantata was created and arranged by Joseph M. Martin and the music orchestrated by Brant Adams. The current Wood River Area Community Choir was organized in the fall of 2002 by Vincent Boudreau, its director.

Shelton author completes trilogy with “Sandhills Sojourn”

With the publication of his latest novella, “Sandhills Sojourn” in September, Shelton author Stephen Koenig completes a trilogy of stories focusing on fictional character Joe Bauer, a youngster living in the Sandhills of Nebraska in the late 1970s and 1980s, which began with in “Barbed Wire Runs Through It” and continued in “Unremarkable: A Private Eye Story” and now “Sandhills Sojourn.”
