Clipper Country receives impressive amounts of snow last week

The largest snow event in some time in Nebraska blanketed the state and Clipper Country with snow and some ice as a storm system made its way through the region on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. Most areas along and north of Highway 6 were the recipients of between ten and 17 inches of snow, according to NTV Meteorologist Tim Reith. Snowfall was reported at 10.3” in the Gibbon area and 13.5” around Wood River. The snow and ice closed Interstate 80 and Highway 30 west of Grand Island into Wyoming.

Shelton Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2021 honored at ball game

After a few delays, three new members were honored as members of the Shelton Athletic Hall of Fame. A ceremony was held at halftime of the Tuesday, January 10, boys basketball game against Arcadia/Loup City.
