From Sunday, February 9, through Saturday, February 15, Gibbon Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) celebrated National FBLA Week with a variety of engaging activities that highlighted leadership, appreciation, and community involvement.
Old Man Winter moved into the region last week and took up residence for a while, bringing with him snow, stiff winds, and dangerously low temperatures and wind chill readings. Snowblowers and shovels were common sights across Clipper Country early this week as residents worked to keep up with continuous falling snow. Classes were also cancelled at schools across Clipper Country in the wake of the winter weather holding the area in its icy grip. Forecasts indicate a rebound in temperatures beginning this weekend. The 67th Nebraska Agri-Business Exposition was held January 28-29, in Kearney, at the Younes Conference Center North. This day and a half event consisted of educational training in conjunction with the Nebraska Extension’s Crop Production Clinics and a show of vendor exhibits.
Casual Closet by Dynamic T’s, located at 817 Front Street in Gibbon, offers women’s, men’s, infant and children’s clothing; toys; jewelry; books; candles; and gift items. “We also just received a stock of prom dresses,” reported Casual Closet owner, life-long Gibbon resident Jennifer Samuelson. She and husband, Brad, are owners of Dynamic T’s at 819 Front Street, a staple in the Gibbon business district for many years.
