Lincoln Highway Festival and Car Show revved up for July 30

The 2023 Lincoln Highway Festival and Car Show is planned to be held on the bricks in sunny downtown Shelton on Sunday, July 30. The car show will be held in the business district in Shelton. Check in for the car show will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Therewill be no pre-registration but there is a registration fee and awards will be given to the top 25 vehicles. Awards will be presented at 3:00 p.m.

Marvin and Evonne Kubert selected as FunFest Parade Grand Marshals

WRRHS ag teacher attends CASE Food Science Curriculum

Twenty agriculture education teachers from across the midwest gathered in Wayne June 26 to 29 to learn the CASE (Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education) Food Science curriculum and bring cutting-edge learning back to their classrooms. Wood River Rural High School agriculture education teacher Kiley Codner was one of these twenty educators.

Olivia Cure is new SPL summer intern

Olivia Cure, who will be a freshman at Shelton High School this fall, was selected as the summer intern at the Shelton Public Library and began her duties on June 8. The library is one of twenty Nebraska public libraries that offer internships.

Howard County Fair begins Saturday

The Howard County Fair in St. Paul is set to begin this Saturday, July 15, and runs through Wednesday, July 19, with events and activities for everyone.
