Jaxson Ohlman turned in a top ten finish to lead the Shelton Bulldog golfers at the Twin Valley Conference meet held at the Red Cloud Golf Club on Thursday, May 8. As a team, the Bulldogs finished the day with a score of 390.
Gibbon Public School celebrated Academic Honors Night on Monday, May 5, which included inducting two new members into the Gibbon Chapter of National Honor Society. New inductees were Briahna Brehm and Natalie Contreras. Two more meets were checked off the 2025 schedule for the Gibbon golf team as they teed off at the Grand Island Central Catholic Invitational on Tuesday, May 6, at Indianhead Golf Course and at the LouPlatte Conference meet on Thursday, May 8, at Centura Hills Golf Club.
Disney was the theme of the Shelton Elementary Spring Concert on Thursday, May 8, for family and friends at an afternoon matinee (pictured) and later that evening. Performances included Frere Jacques and Hard Rock Blues by the fifth grade band, The Star Spangled Banner and Washington and Lee Swing (Shelton fight song) by the sixth grade band, and Disney songs such as A Disney Silly Sing Along by kindergarten though sixth graders, It’s A Small World by the kindergartners, Jungle Book Medley by the first graders, Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride by second and third graders, A Million Dreams by the fourth through sixth grade students, Under the Sea by the fourth grade, Friend Like Me by the fifth grade, and I Always Wanted A Brother by the sixth graders.
