For 14 years, Sonlight Bible Fellowship has been a beacon of faith and community, meeting in various locations such as community centers and other venues while remaining steadfast in its mission to worship and serve. During this time, the congregation demonstrated remarkable flexibility and resilience, adapting to the challenges of setting up and tearing down each Sunday as they pursued their vision of glorifying God.

Quilts of Valor bestowed on Cairo Veterans

Three Veterans were recently honored and wrapped with Quilts of Valor in a ceremony on Sunday, May 18, at the Alliance City Park lead by Kathy Dye, of Panhandle Blocks, the local chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation. The American Legion Post #7 and American Legion Riders Panhandle Chapter #43 assisted with the ceremony.

The Bulldog Branch of Cornerstone Bank in the Shelton Elementary had a successful first year, according to Patty Wiehn, of Shelton Cornerstone Bank.

Shelton’s Ohlman swings his way to state competing at district golf meet

Jaxson Ohlman and the Bulldog golf team competed at the D-1 District meet held at Kirkman’s Lakeview Golf Course in Humboldt on Tuesday, May 20, where Ohlman qualified for state competition. As a team, the Bulldogs placed eighth out of 13 teams in the district and posted a team score of 415.

Area athletes earn medals at state track and field meet in Omaha

Six Clipper Country athletes came away from the state track and field meet with medals to add to their collections. The Wood River Eagles had to medalists, while the Shelton Bulldogs had four athletes finish in the top eight at the two day meet in Omaha on Friday and Saturday.
