Ryan Samuelson received the 2025 Nebraska FBLA National Businessperson of the Year Award at the State Leadership Conference and will represent Nebraska FBLA at the National Leadership Conference this summer.
Bob Krier, of Hamilton Telecommunications in Gibbon, received the Nebraska FBLA Local Businessperson of the Year Award at the recent FBLA State Leadership Conference.
Forde Holl was the recipient of an Honorable Mention in Healthcare Administration at the recent State FBLA Convention.

Gibbon FBLA leaders recognized at state conference

The Gibbon FBLA Chapter had a fantastic showing at the 2025 FBLA State Leadership Conference (SLC), held at the Younes Conference Center, in Kearney, from Thursday, April 10, to Saturday, April 12. Ten members competed at SLC – eight high school and two middle-level students along with over 2,100 business students from across the state of Nebraska.

Eagles make good showing at Shelton

The Wood River boys and girls track and field teams made respectable showings when they participated in the Shelton Invitational held on Thursday, April 17. The Eagle boys built up 82.5 team points to finish the day in fourth place among the nine teams attending with the Central Valley team taking first place with 124.50 team points. The Elm Creek ladies won the girls portion of the meet with 129 points. The Lady Eagles were seventh among the nine teams competing with 82.50 points.

Buffalo thinclads run at Ravenna Invitational

The Lady Buffalo 4 X 800 meter relay team posted a first place finish at the Ravenna Invitational on Thursday, April 17, to record the highest finish for both the Gibbon girls and boys track and field teams on the day. As a team, the Gibbon ladies placed fifth with 50 points while the Doniphan/ Trumbull team scored 165 points to win the seven team girls side of the meet. The Buffalo boys finished the day with 42 points as Axtell won the boys portion of the day with 102 points.
