The Shelton volleyball team began the new season by tackling a busy slate of matches. The Lady Bulldogs played host to Nebraska Christian on Thursday, August 27, and then traveled to play in a tournament at Overton on Saturday, August 29.
The homecoming celebration, with the theme of “Game On,” concludes this Friday with the homecoming football game and dance after a week of celebratory activities. This year’s theme is centered around board games, friendly competition, and showing school spirit. Tomorrow, Friday, at 2:00 p.m., a pep rally on the football field will feature decorated golf carts, the school band, and the cheer and dance team. It will also include three fun games, time for each of the fall sports teams to talk about their season, and a performance from the cheer and dance team. That evening, after the football game against Minden, the crowning of homecoming king and queen will be held. The homecoming dance will follow. Weather shortens Shelton Area Lions Club movie night
The Wood River Lady Eagles returned to the links for their first tournament of the 2026 season on Thursday, August 20, the Central City Bison Scramble.
