Students, city council members take part in Community Service Day in Gibbon

Community Service Day was held in Gibbon on Monday, May 4, with students for Gibbon Public School and members of the Gibbon City Council working on various projects throughout the community and doing odd jobs for residents who requested their aid. Some of the projects done by the volunteers included planting nine trees at Rosen Park, painting the deck at Valley View Municipal Golf Course, helping out at Rowe Sanctuary, and helping to plant a plot for the Gibbon Food Pantry at Little Town Gardens. The Shelton Just for Kix team garnered a first place in A Hip Hop Senior Showcase and were named National Champions.

Shelton Just For Kix dancers deliver standout performances at Nationals

The dancers of Shelton Just For Kix delivered unforgettable performances at the 2026 Together We Dance Nationals held April 29 through May 3 in Rochester, Minnesota. The annual event brought together thousands of dancers and families from across the country for one of the largest dance competitions in the Midwest.
