Wiehn to dance for Hastings College Crimson Tide

Emily Wiehn, of Shelton High School, signed a letter of intent to dance at Hastings College at a ceremony held Sunday, April 26, at the school prior to the Shelton Just For Kix Spring Recital. Miss Wiehn has been dancing with the Shelton Just for Kix program for 15 years. Gibbon track teams compete at conference meet at Centura

The LouPlatte Conference meet, held at Centura High School on Friday, May 1, filled the late season schedule for the Gibbon girls and boys track and field teams where the ladies placed seventh in the nine team field with 11 team points and the boys were ninth in their portion of the day with 18 team points. Central City’s 153 team points won the girls side of the meet and Doniphan/Trumbull won the boys side with 126 team points.

Eagle boys third at conference meet

The Wood River Eagle boys finished the Centura hosted LouPlatte Conference meet in third place among nine teams competing with 77 team points and the Lady Eagles were eighth with 10.50 team points among the nine team girls field on Friday, May 1. The Doniphan/ Trumbull boys won the boys side of the meet with 126 team points and the Central City ladies had 153 team points to take first place of the girls side of the day. The Eagle boys brought home 23 total medals and the girls had 14.
