Wood River High School Class of 1976 reunite

The Wood River Class of 1976 met at Ol Ironside in Cairo last Friday, July 24, to celebrate their 50th class reunion. Those attending in the front row were, left to right, Cindy Harders Jones, Christie Dibbern, Joyce Whitten Hargens, Janet Bartlett Miles, Pam Lantz Odorisio, Patrick Lantz, Kent Luebs, Chelle Sperling Janzti, Michelle Filbin Irish, Roxanne Jantzi Schlegel, and Doug Harders; in the middle row, Sherrie McTavish Brink, Julie Morosic Hayes, Karman Koepp Wissing, Sherry Redding Desel, Allan Miller, and Loren Dibbern; and in the back row, Dave Wortman, Lynn Sahling Struebing, Dan Krolikowski, Merilee Wiseman Callahan, Cindy Denman Evans, Jamie Wiese Cole, Jerry Woitaszewski, Jim Welch, and Steve Redding. Class members not in the photo were Ruth Ciemnoczolowski and Rosie Hatton.

Gibbon’s July Yard of the Month award presented to Hartman

The Gibbon Beautification Foundation selected Art Harman’s yard as the July Yard of the Month. In addition to being spotlighted on the City of Gibbon and Gibbon Beautification Foundation Facebook pages, recognized in the pages of The Clipper newspaper and receiving a Yard of the Month sign for his yard, Mr. Hartman was also the recipient of a gift card to Kwik Stop which was generously provided by the Gibbon Beautification Foundation. Residents may submit yard nominations for Yard of the Month from the first through the 15th of each month, through October. Nomination addresses can be submitted along with an optional photo to yardsofgibbon@gmail. com. The Gibbon Beautification Foundation encourages all Gibbon residents to participate and aid in recognizing the outstanding properties and landscaping efforts throughout the community.
