A great crowd of hunters and handlers turned out for the annual Shelton Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Memorial Park in Shelton. The hunt was put on by the Shelton National Honor Society students and funded by the Shelton American Legion.

Wood River Rural Schools is hosting an event on Wednesday, April 29, that they would like to make community members aware of. The morning, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., will consist of career exploration on campus. The school is looking for community members to share with the students information about their career path, their business, and the needed job skills for their future employment. Tuesday, March 31, saw the Shelton girls and boys track and field teams traveling to nearby Kenesaw for the Kenesaw Invitational where the girls finished in fourth place out of the 13 teams competing with 62 team points and the boys were sixth on the their side of the day out of the 11 teams competing with 52 team points. The Silver Lake girls compiled 100 team points to take first place and the Gibbon boys took first place in the boys competition with 80 team points.
