WRRHS 2026 Prom Court announced

The 2026 Wood River Rural High School Prom will be held Saturday, April 11, at Babel’s Barn. The prom court is, front row, left to right, Zailey Gewecke, Ximena Trejo, Marlen Rodriguez, Gracee Gideon, and Kenna Thompson; and back row, Hector Bonilla, Diego Avilez, Brek Wiese, Preston Ammon, and Landon Hauptman. WRRS in search of community members to assist with career fair, projects for community service day

Wood River Rural Schools is hosting an event on Wednesday, April 29, that they would like to make community members aware of. The morning, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., will consist of career exploration on campus. The school is looking for community members to share with the students information about their career path, their business, and the needed job skills for their future employment. Shelton track and field teams run, jump and throw at Kenesaw Invite

Tuesday, March 31, saw the Shelton girls and boys track and field teams traveling to nearby Kenesaw for the Kenesaw Invitational where the girls finished in fourth place out of the 13 teams competing with 62 team points and the boys were sixth on the their side of the day out of the 11 teams competing with 52 team points. The Silver Lake girls compiled 100 team points to take first place and the Gibbon boys took first place in the boys competition with 80 team points.
