Cornhusker Champions shine at the Hall County Fair
The Cornhusker Champions 4-H Club had an exciting and successful week at the 2026 Hall County Fair in Grand Island recently. Members showcased months of hard work, dedication and preparation as they competed in livestock shows and other events throughout the fair.
Centura Seniors win district tournament, qualify for state play
Centura Legion Post 333 Senior baseball team won their District Tournament recently held in Loomis to move on to the Class C State Legion Tournament in Pender. In district action, they beat Hi-Line 15-0, Ravenna 8-5, and Loomis 10-2 to advance to the championship game. Centura played Loomis again and beat them 8-2 to advance to the state tournament. Wood River High School Class of 1976 reunite
The Wood River Class of 1976 met at Ol Ironside in Cairo last Friday, July 24, to celebrate their 50th class reunion.
