WRRHS 2026 Prom Court announced

The 2026 Wood River Rural High School Prom will be held Saturday, April 11, at Babel’s Barn. Shelton track and field teams run, jump and throw at Kenesaw Invite

Tuesday, March 31, saw the Shelton girls and boys track and field teams traveling to nearby Kenesaw for the Kenesaw Invitational where the girls finished in fourth place out of the 13 teams competing with 62 team points and the boys were sixth on the their side of the day out of the 11 teams competing with 52 team points. The Silver Lake girls compiled 100 team points to take first place and the Gibbon boys took first place in the boys competition with 80 team points.

Shelton High Work-Based Learning Program preparing students for modern workforce

Shelton High School’s newly revised Work-Based Learning (WBL) Program is gaining momentum, according to Shelton High agriculture teacher Hannah Horak. Currently, 12 students are enrolled in the course, which bridges the gap between traditional academics and the practical demands of the modern workforce.
