Holdrege was the final stop for the 2025 Shelton/Gibbon Juniors baseball team, playing in the B-6 district tournament last weekend. Losses to Minden and Broken Bow bring the season to an end with a record of ten wins and eight losses.
The Wood River Post 314 Seniors split their recent baseball games with a 10-2 loss to the 1919 Lincoln Rangers on Tuesday, July 1, and a 13-6 victory over the Hi-Line Post 290 Seniors on Wednesday, July 2. Both games were played at Wood River.
The Wood River Post 314 Juniors came close to their first win of the year against the 1919 Lincoln Stratojets, but fell one run short by the score of 9-8 on Tuesday, July 1. A 22-7 loss to Hi-Line Post 290 the following night puts the Wood River record at 0-10 on the season.

“We were a very young team this year but had a great time,” said coach Levi Rogers of the Shelton 10 and under baseball team. “We are very proud of the improvements the team made over the year. We greatly appreciate the Shelton Youth Sports Club for all of the support and guidance throughout the season.
