Mason, Marissa, and Morgan Janda, of Ravenna, recently participated in the 2025 Loup Valley Livestock Challenge. The Challenge is sponsored by the Loup Valley Ag Society and held annually in Ord. Mason Janda, a senior at Centura High School, was named Champion Swine Showman. His breeding gilt placed second and his market barrow third in their respective divisions. Janda received a champion buckle and college scholarship from the Loup Valley Ag Society, plus awards donated by Kearney Powersports, Bayer Crop Science, Farm Credit Services, GreenAmerica Biofuels-Ord, Valley Auto Parts, and BASF. “The Wood River Lady Eagle golf team competed in their first tournament of the season on Thursday, August 21, at the Central City Scramble held at Valley View Country Club in Marquette,” reported head coach James Kuebler.
