The Shelton Lady Bulldogs hit the hardwood at the Nebraska state girls basketball tournament this past weekend in Lincoln. Shelton played in their first-round match against Wilcox-Hildreth on Thursday, March 2. The Lady Bulldogs were victorious in that game and faced Wynot in the semifinals on Friday, March 3. Shelton’s comeback efforts fell short in the Wynot game and they faced Humphrey St. Francis on Saturday, March 4, in the third and fourth place game.

The six member Shelton speech team has proved to be small but mighty as they worked through their season of competitions on their way to the upcoming district meet.

The Wood River speech team, made up of seniors Eva Green, Joseph Cooper and Alex DeKay, juniors Jaelyn Palser and Alex Wagner and freshman Matilda Green, has worked through a long, fruitful season and is eyeing the fast approaching district meet.
