2025 Gibbon Buffalo fifth and sixth grade tackle football team

Members of the Gibbon fifth and sixth grade tackle football team were, in no particular order, Kamden Baxter, Luke Clevenger, Alejandro Corona, Owen Piper, Jonathan Eustler, Juan Herrera, Jr., Casen Carstensen, Yoel Lopez, Jordan Clevenger, Carson Yendra, Adrian Abiles, Jaxton Swarm, Stiles Lester, Omar Aldaba, Blake Herter, Zylen Beistline, Bentley Samuelson, Wyatt Binkey, German Mozqueda, DaRey Aldaba, and Amos Rayburn. The team is coached by Derrick Clevenger, Tom Swarm, Brad Samuelson, Victor Abiles, Dustin Eustler, Ivan Rayburn, Craig Carsetensen, and Preson Lentfer.

SYSC first and second grade football team

Andrews, Mendez medal at junior high state cross country invite

The Nebraska State Junior High Cross Country Invite was held Saturday, October 11, at Papillion-LaVista South High School. The Shelton junior high cross country team had five athletes compete, pictured above, left to right, Erick Mendez, Kameron Taylor, Hudsyn Hagan, Wyatt Rogers, and Quynn Andrews. This year, the invite was split into to categories, Class A/B and Class C/D, due to the amount of competitors. Only the top 25 medal. Lady Bulldog Andrews earned her 17th place medal by crossing the finish line in 12:19. There was a total of 163 competitors in the Class C/D race. She was the fifth fastest seventh grader in Class C/D and 12th fastest seventh grader overall in A/B/C/D combined. Andrews placed 35th out of 363 runners overall in A/B/ C/D. Mendez brought home a seventh place medal for the Bulldogs with his time of 10:50. A total of 227 runners competed in the Class C/D race. He was the second fastest seventh grade in Class C/D and third fastest seventh grader overall in the A/ B/C/D combined. There were 478 individual runners overall in A/B/C/D, and Mendez was fourteenth. Taylor crossed the finish line 12:40, Hagan had a time of 14:32, and Rogers finished with a time of 15:50. Shelton High named champion at “Girls Only” GFWC NFWC Quiz Bowl in Seward

The Shelton High School Quiz Bowl season is underway with great success! The team consists of senior Erin Gegg (captain); juniors Olivia Cure (co-captain), Quinn Hellerich, Kaylie Lush, Shelby Melsa, and Sonja Warner; and sophomore Ava Rabbe. The team is coached by Shelton High teacher Shanna Held.
