Gibbon teams earn a bevy of hardware at Franklin

The Franklin Invitational held on Tuesday, April 2, although cold and windy, allowed the Gibbon girls and boys track and field teams ample opportunities to earn hardware and made good on several of those opportunities by bringing home a good number of medals. The girls team finished the meet in fifth place with 47 points out of the 12-team field and the Buffalo boys finished in a three-way tie for sixth place with Deshler and Loomis.

The track season in Nebraska is always a weather guessing game and with the return of the winter weather that graced central Nebraska last week, the Pleasanton Dick O’Neill Invite was in danger of being canceled, but after clearing of the track and field areas, the show went on and the Shelton girls and boys track and field teams made their way to Kearney on Thursday, March 28, to participate in the invite.
