Wood River boys golf team competes at district meet at Southern Hills in Hastings

“There were some rough conditions at the C-4 District Golf Tournament at Southern Hills near Hastings,” explained Wood River head coach Jon Kuecker of the district meet held on Monday, May 18. The Eagles finished the day with a team score of 437 in 14th place among the 15 teams. The Adams Central boys won the district title with a team score of 305.

Sophia Hoffmeister, Delilah Jarmin, Chloe Williams, Lillian Stoltzfus, and Addison DeLong worked on a STEM project called ”Bake Out Cancer,” which raised over $400 which was used to purchase gas and grocery cards. The girls then delivered them to CHI

Gibbon WIN class finds success with STEM projects

Beginning in January, Mrs. Brown’s fifth and sixth grade WIN (What I Need) class at Gibbon Public School started STEM (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics) projects. The students had the choice to invent a new product, or to do a community service project. When the projects were completed, two projects were selected to attend STEMfest, which was hosted by ESU10 in Kearney.
