Riley Bergstrom and Ivan Tamayo will represent Gibbon at the state track and field meet in Omaha after qualifying to do so at the C-8 District meet held at Kearney Catholic High School on Thursday, May 14.
Eagle track and field members Alex Pospisil, Madden Brabec, Jace Martin, and Hector Bonilla Betancourt qualified for state competition at the C-8 District meet held on Thursday, May 14, at Kearney Catholic High School and Pospisil and Brabec claimed district crowns in the process. As a team, the Eagle boys built up 74 team points for fourth place among the nine teams participating and the Lady Eagles placed seventh with 29 team points out of nine girls teams.
By hosting a dual with the Gibbon team at Centura Hills Golf Course on Tuesday, May 12, and teeing off at the Minden Invitational on Thursday, May 14, at Lochland Golf Course, the Wood River boys golf team wrapped up regular season play.
An invitational and a dual wound up regular season play for the Gibbon boys golf team last week. The Buffaloes traveled to the ten-team Cozad Invitational on Monday, May 11, and then battled the Wood River boys in a dual held at Centura Hills Golf Course on Tuesday, May 12.
