The Kearney Area Community Foundation’s (KACF) Give Where You Live 24-hour fundraising event is scheduled to be held on Thursday, December 3, this year with six non-profit organizations in Gibbon taking part. Last year, Give Where You Live broke record numbers with $1,203,453 raised for 165 local non-profits.

Election day 2020 has now come and gone and preliminary results for the sizable list of local races and ballot initiatives across Clipper Country have been made available by Buffalo and Hall County Election Commissioner’s Offices.
Six candidates will face voters for three seats on the Alda Village Board of Trustees in the November 3 election next week. The names of Zach Mayhew, Jerry Shears, Dan Garlick, Verna Rae Clampitt, Robert Curfman, and Tony Ammon will dot the ballot for Alda residents.
