Nielsen and Bonczynski sworn in at January meeting

At the January 14, 2025, Boelus Village Board meeting, longtime village board members Gene Whitefoot, serving for 74 years, and Vance Christensen, serving for 14 years, both retired and passed their seats on to Shelly Nielsen and Amanda Bonczynski. Russ Jensen was set to retire his seat; however, the new village board unanimously asked Russ to stay on and he graciously accepted. Shelton American FFA Degree recipients honored during recent basketball game

Five former Shelton High School students and FFA members were honored for earning the highest degree achievable in the National FFA organization, the American Degree, at the Shelton vs. Gibbon boys and girls basketball game on Tuesday, January 7. Those five join the ranks of previous Shelton FFA American Degree recipients between 1963 and 1970, including J. Scott Harris, Donald Gilliland, Ronnie Prochaska, Darrel Quarring and Milton Ahrens.
