Four Lady Buffs to compete at state

Four Gibbon Lady Buffalo wrestlers earned a chance to compete in the state meet after the dust settled at the B-1 District meet held at Ord on Friday and Saturday, February 7 and 8. As a team, the Lady Buffaloes mustered an eighth place finish with 66.5 team points among the 33 teams taking part in the district meet. The Yutan team finished the day with 169 team points to take first place.

Five Lady Eagles qualify for state

The Wood River girls wrestling team competed at the Class B-1 District Tournament in Ord on Friday, February 7, and Saturday, February 8, where, as a team, the Wood River ladies finished third with 117 team points out of 33 teams competing and qualified five girls for the state tournament in Omaha. Qualifiers were Cherish Faircloth, Alyssa Thomas, Sarah Frear, Savannah Pietrzak, and Nevaeh Bryant.

Dack to represent Shelton at girls state wrestling meet after district meet title

Lady Bulldog wrestler Grace Dack will represent Shelton at the NSAAState Girls Championships next week after she battled her way to a first place finish at 145 pounds at the Girls D-1 District meet held at Ord on Friday and Saturday, February 7 and 8. The Lady Bulldogs placed 12th as a team among the 33 teams at the district meet by logging 41.5 points. Yutan took the top spot with 169 team points.
