The early portion of the season continued for the Gibbon Lady Buffalo golfers with two meets last week, the Doniphan/Trumbull Triangular, held at Indianhead Golf Course in Grand Island on Tuesday, September 2, and the St. Paul Quad at the St. Paul Golf Course on Thursday, September 4.
Ansley/Litchfield came to Shelton on Tuesday, September 2, for a showdown with the Lady Bulldog volleyball team and left town with a 3-2 win, defeating Shelton in five sets, 21-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-21 and 16-14.
A long night on the gridiron resulted in a loss for the Gibbon football team to the visiting Cross County Cougars, 7-46.
Gibbon’s Lady Buffalo volleyball team played host for a pair of triangulars last week, the first featured teams from Nebraska Christian and Elba on Tuesday, September 2, and the second included Sandhills/ Thedford and Ravenna on Thursday, September 4.
