Gibbon Blue Little League team finishes LP Tournament in third place

The Gibbon Blue Little League team went 12-3 this year and closed the season with a third place finish in the LouPlatte Little League Tournament. Buffalo, Hall county fairs ready to roll next week

Both the Buffalo County Fair in Kearney and the Hall County Fair in Grand Island are set to begin next week with full slates of activities. The Buffalo County Fair will run from Tuesday, July 22, through Monday, July 28, and the Hall County Fair will be held Wednesday, July 23 through Sunday, July 27.

Wood River Post 314 Juniors get two late season wins

The Wood River Juniors found the win column twice over the last series of games with wins over Hi-Line Post 290 to end the regular season, and Doniphan-Trumbull-Giltner Post 300, in the first round of the C-6 Juniors district tournament. The win over Doniphan avenged a loss to them just four days prior.

Shelton/Gibbon Juniors end season at B-6 district tourney

Holdrege was the final stop for the 2025 Shelton/Gibbon Juniors baseball team, playing in the B-6 district tournament last weekend. Losses to Minden and Broken Bow bring the season to an end with a record of ten wins and eight losses.
